Baba meslegini sürdüren Halil İbrahim Adil Dindar 1931 yilinda ogullari ile birlikte İstanbul’a gelerek Koska semtinde bir dükkan açar, zamanla ürettikleri helva ve tatlilarin lezzeti ile ünlenir. Bulunduklari semtten dolayi Koska Helvacisi olarak anilmaya baslar ve bu ünvani alir. 1974’de Topkapi’da kurulan fabrikada helvanin yanisira lokum, reçel ve koz helva üretimine de baslanir. 1983 yilinda Mümtaz ve Nevzat Dindar kardesler Merter’de insa edilen modern tesislere tasinarak KOSKA HELVACISI MERTER adiyla faaliyetlerini sürdürme karari alirlar. Bu tesislerde ürün çesidini ve kalitesini sürekli arttiran KOSKA, 1990 yilinda devreye giren tamamiyla otomasyona dönük makinelerle tahin üretimini gerçeklestirir.
