While this pure extra virgin olive oil is known for its creamy, buttery taste and golden yellow color, perhaps it is most unique for its traditional pressing technique. Made from olives of the Altinoluk region, these olives are cold water pressed in stone granite mills and filtered through cotton fibers, as olive oil was traditionally made. As the name suggests, this extra virgin version of Eskisi Gibi has a maximum acidity of 0.8% and is slightly lighter than its virgin counterpart; both of which are excellent for dipping as well as pastas, meats, potatoes, corn, rice, eggs, vegetables or as a substitute for butter.
